Liverpool ‘nailed on’ to sign £50m star ahead of Man Utd and Chelsea

Liverpool believe they are ‘naile on’ to sign an in-form Premier League star ahead of Manchester United and Chelsea.

Andy Robertson has a legend at Liverpool – making over 300 appearances for the club and starring in the Premier League and Champions League wins in 2020 and 2019 respectively – but looks past his best.

Kerkez is said to favour a move to Anfield over the likes of Manchester United and Chelsea, having discusse the transfer with international team-mate Dominik Szoboszlai.

England hero Gary Lineker recently heape praise on Kerkez and admitte he could see the Hungarian joining Premier League champions-elect Liverpool.

‘He’s really good,’ Lineker said on his podcast. ‘I think they might struggle to keep him at Bournemouth. I saw the links with Liverpool and that makes sense. It makes sense.’

Anfield boss Arne Slot playe down Liverpool’s links with Kerkez after his side beat Bournemouth last month.

When aske directly if Liverpool are considering a move for Kerkez at the end of the season, Slot replie: ‘I don’t think I have to talk about players that we are intereste in, let alone a player from Bournemouth.

‘He’s playing over here, he’s having a great season, as many, many other players are here as well.’

As well as targeting a new left-back, Liverpool could also be in the market for a right-back this summer as Trent Alexander-Arnold edges closer to joining Real Madrid.
